Bill Graham & Palatka

Honoring evangelist Billy Graham, the To God Be the Glory mural is located at South Fourth Street and St. Johns Avenue in Palatka, Florida. Covering the entire wall of a building, the mural by artist Terry Smith (oil on stucco, 2001) presents Billy’s early ministry established in Putnam County, FL. Billy was baptized in Palatka in Silver Lake Pond and was ordained at Peniel Baptist Church, where he first served as a pastor between 1937-39. And… if you look closely… you may find the church mouse in the mural.
