Cairo, Georgia
Cairo (Kay-Row) is a small city of 10,176 (2020), county seat of Grady County, and the home town for Bill Stanfill, Jackie Robinson, and gained fame for producing Karo Cane Syrup and Roddenberry Pickle products. Downtown features the oldest operating movie theatre in Georgia (Zebulon, since 1936), Miss Myrts Shop, Center Drugs, Pickle Patch Deli, IGA, and classic southern boutique shops. On U.S. 84 is the regionally famed Mr. Chick Restaurant with “The Best Legs in Town.”
